Buxton Poetry Competition Prize Giving with Lady Cavendish and Judge, Fleur Adcock

As Writer in Residence at Carsington Water for its 25th anniversary year, I aim to engage as many people as possible in a writing project to celebrate this valley’s history and wildlife.

My poetry has won prizes at The Derbyshire Literature Festival, The Buxton Poetry Competition and has been ‘Highly Commended’ by many magazines including the Cinnamon Press. I recently won an Arvon writing prize  and my work featured in the Derbyshire Libraries’ Poetry Project.

I am a proud ambassador for the annual Tower Poetry Prize for 16-18 year olds http://www.towerpoetry.org.uk/ at Christ Church College, Oxford University.

My novel, CROW made the 2017 shortlist of the Penguin Random House’s Write Now programme and just won a place on the Writing East Midlands 2018 Mentoring Scheme.
